Protected trees in Walton-on-Thames
Tree Preservation Orders and conservation areas in Walton-on-Thames are managed by Elmbridge Borough Council. If a tree is protected by a TPO, the council must give consent before most work; in a conservation area, six weeks’ notice is needed for trees with a trunk over 7.5cm in diameter. You can read the government guidance on tree preservation orders and conservation areas.
We check the status of every tree before we start, and can prepare and submit the application or notice for you.
